Meet Our Founder

I'm Tyler Hoskins, founder of HosScans.

For fourteen years, I worked in construction and facility management. And for fourteen years, I've watched the same problem repeat itself: teams making decisions based on drawings that didn't match reality.

I've seen the effects (financial and otherwise) of these documentation gaps: renovation projects derailed, contractors having no choice but to bid blind, property transactions complicated by square footage discrepancies... the list goes on.

LiDAR scanning technology can eliminate these effects, essentially by making the necessary documentation accessible to the teams who need it most. And that's why I started HosScans.

Our mission is to give every project team access to accurate, verified building documentation, eliminating the guesswork that can cause project delays, disputes, expensive surprises, and rework.

We believe that accuracy matters, and documentation should be accessible. You shouldn't need specialized software to view your own building data. We've also seen firsthand how technology (particularly LiDAR, our 3D laser scanning tool) can be highly beneficial in helping us achieve our ultimate goal: supporting you in a successful project.
