Contractors reviewing architectural floor plans on a job site

Big news out of the HosScans shop — we are proud and humbled to announce that we received a Leadership in Preservation Award from the Collin County Historical Commission at their 19th Annual Preservation Celebration, held April 25, 2026 in Farmersville, Texas.

This recognition is tied to work that honestly means a lot to us — two historic home projects right here in our own backyard.

The Stone Haven House – Wylie, TX The Scott-Barker House – Melissa, TX

Both homes were being relocated to new sites, and before they moved, HosScans stepped in to capture them in full 3D detail. We donated the as-built drawings and floor plans to the local historical societies in Wylie and Melissa — so that no matter where these houses end up, their original stories are preserved forever.

That's what LiDAR laser scanning can do that nothing else can. A point cloud doesn't just capture a building — it captures a moment in time.

We are genuinely honored to have even been considered for this award. HosScans exists to serve the Dallas-Fort Worth community, and being able to contribute to the preservation of local history is one of the most meaningful things we get to do. We're excited to continue building relationships with historical societies across North Texas and to keep finding new ways to give back.
